Google Sites Custom URL

I had a question the other day about how to move the content from a Google site to another hosting platform. After a bit of searching, I couldn’t find a way to do it, but I did come across the custom URL which allows you to point your domain to the google site so it appears the content is actually at www.yoursite.com.

There are multiple ways to approach this, so what I demonstrate here may not be the easiest way, but it does work. In this instance my normal hosting provider is Dream Host (https://www.dreamhost.com/r.cgi?2238074 – yes, it’s a referral link, no you don’t have to use it) so the example will show you part of their dashboard.

I hope you found it useful, I’m willing to take suggestions for other short how to videos.
